Last week, Business Sweden co-hosted the Sweden-Italy Defence Days in Rome – the largest-ever Swedish industry high-level delegation to Italy. 24 Swedish and 33 Italian defence companies and institutions gathered to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new partnerships. Organised with the Swedish Embassy in Rome Ambasciata di Svezia in Italia and Säkerhets- och försvarsföretagen (SOFF), the two-day programme brought together senior representatives from both countries, including H.E. Pål Jonson, Swedish Minister for Defence and H.E. Jan Björklund, Ambassador of Sweden to Italy, the Swedish Armed Forces Försvarsmakten, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration FMV - Försvarets materielverk, the Italian Ministry of Defence, the National Armaments Directorate, and the Italian Armed Forces. Highlights included a site visit to Leonardo, a high-level dinner at the Ambassador’s residence, a conference hosted at the Swedish Institute Svenska institutet, with institutional and keynote speakers, and over 150 B2B meetings. A new partnership between BAE Systems Hägglunds AB and IVECO DEFENCE VEHICLES was also launched – a strong signal of what’s possible when like-minded partners connect. This forum marked a major step forward in building long-term collaboration in a shifting global landscape and played a crucial role in creating business opportunities between stakeholders who might not otherwise have met.  #DefenceIndustry #SwedenItaly #BilateralCooperation
