The special relationship between Finland and Sweden will be on full display next week as Finland’s newly elected President Alexander Stubb and first lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb undertake a State Visit to Sweden, on 23-24 April. The purpose of the visit is to celebrate the close alliance between the two Nordic nations and deepen cooperation across the spectrum of foreign affairs, security, defence policy and business. As part of the two-day engagements, Business Sweden will co-host the Finland-Sweden Business Seminar at Grand Hotel in Stockholm, exploring a broad range of collaboration opportunities in defence, renewable energy, bio-based materials, critical minerals, telecom and AI. With innovation and regional competitiveness as the key theme, the seminar will invite a delegation of more than 50 business representatives from Finland and Sweden to take part in discussions. HM King Carl XVI Gustaf, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will be in attendance. The seminar will be jointly hosted by Business Sweden, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.
